- UNDERGOING RESTORATION -
Mast Pond Wharf
The site of the original Woolwich Dockyard. This was the location where Henry the Eighth commissioned, and had built, the largest warship the world had ever seen; The Henry Grace a Dieu. The site was decommissioned as a dockyard in the 19th century. The original dry docks, which are now filled with water, have been used for fishing for many years. A scheme for a new riverfront block designed by Alan Camp Architects has been commissioned to take advantage of the superb riverfront and dock views. The old docks which are grade 2 listed will be left unaltered and the central part of the site will accommodate a stunning residential building. This will incorporate new facilities for the fishing club as well as new landscaping at ground floor level.
